Vodafone Romania reports the financial results for the quarter ended September 30th, 2018

Total revenues grew by 4.8% in the quarter ended September 30th 2018 as compared to the same period of last year   Vodafone Romania announces the key performance indicators for the quarter ended September 30th, 2018, as reported today by Vodafone Group Plc. Vodafone Romania had 9,730,487 total customers at September 30th, 2018, remaining flat compared to the same period of last year. Out of the total number of customers, 8,990,849 were mobile customers. Vodafone Romania’s mobile ARPU is maintained at Euro 6.1 over the three months ended on September 30th, 2018. The service revenue is at EURO 183.6 million and continues to grow at an underlying level. The organic service revenues decreased compared to the same quarter of the previous year by 0.8% as a result of MTR reduction from 0.96 eurocents/minute, to 0.84 eurocents/minute for mobile voice calls. At September 30th, 2018, mobile postpaid customers represented 41.2%, and prepaid customers 58.8% of the total mobile base. The postpaid base users increased by 2.2% as compared to the same period of last year. Data usage increased by 69% for the quarter ended September 30th, 2018, compared to the same period of last year. Murielle Lorilloux, CEO Vodafone Romania, stated: “During the past quarter, we have continued to invest in our network and launched the first NarrowBand-IoT with country-wide coverage which is an important milestone in this sector of growth where businesses are embracing large scale IoT projects. We have also accelerated our recruitment plan by hiring highly-skilled professionals in multiple departments, including customer operations in order to offer our clients the best experiences and enriched propositions”.
