65,458 companies set up and 4,545 entered insolvency

65,458 companies were set up in the first 7 months of 2021, of which 4,545 entered insolvency and 26,034 were unregistered, according to an analysis made by Termene.ro. “In the first 7 months of 2021, 65,458 companies were set up, 4,545 entered insolvency and 26,034 were unregistered. Most companies recently set up are in the Bucharest-Ilfov area (17,627 companies), followed by North West with 8,993 companies and North-East with 7,349,”according to a Termene.ro analysis.   Companies which do business by means of order houses or by internet rank first in Bucharest-Ilfov.   Most of insolvent companies are in North-Western area of the country, with construction firms in the insolvency top, followed by transport companies and bars. At a difference of only 6 firms, Bucharest Ilfov ranks second in the insolvency top, with 1,032 companies in insolvency. That is why 76are construction companies and 38 make retail trade in non specialized stores.   6,564 companies were unrecorded, of which 110 are construction firms, followed by those that have retail trade by means of order homes or the Internet - 109 and companies that offer consulting for business and management -99.   Of the 26,034 unrecorded companies in the first 7 months of 2021, about 70% were older than 5 years, 12% had between 3 and 5 years, 13.51% had between 1 and 3 years and only 5.36% were between 0 and 1 year old.   At the level of the whole country, construction firms rank first in the top of newly set up firms – 5,277 companies set up until July 2021.   Transport companies (4,040) rank second , while retail companies by means of order houses or the Internet (3,769) rank third.   Construction firms are also first in the insolvency top in the country, followed by transport companies and retail companies selling mostly food, beverages and tobacco.   Termene.ro is a company set up in 2014, meant to allow companies to identify business opportunities and correctly evaluate risks for more prosperous business. Over 70,000 companies have access to a platform offering updated data on the financial and juridical data of companies in Romania.
