The USR PLUS Congress of 2nd and 3rd October will take place in a hybrid system, physical presence and online

The USR PLUS national bureau decided on Friday that the congress of 2nd and 3rd October will take place under conditions of extreme safety, with a maximum of 150 people simultaneously in the big hall of Romexpo, shows a press release of the party.   The event will be attended only by vaccinated people, according to a decision taken in July by the National Bureau, as well as taking into consideration the epidemiological situation and the restrictions for public event organization, USR PLUS assumes the observance of rules and decided to organize the congress in a hybrid system.   Thus, in the first day of the congress there will be present at the Romexpo the co-chairmen USR PLUS, the members of the National Bureau, the teams which candidate for the National Bureau and who will deliver speeches, international guests, the electoral commission, the technical staff and the press. The hall will accommodate at most 150 people simultaneously, who will observe the regulations for social distancing and will wear a mask, according to the quoted source.   The 1,200 delegates who will vote the new National Bureau will come to the venue divided into separate flows. The event at Romexpo of 2nd October will be broadcast live, so that all members USR PLUS follow the speeches.   On the second day of the congress, 3rd October, the debates regarding the amendment of the USR PLUS statute will take place in an online meeting. Dacian Ciolos got most votes for the USR PLUS elections but he will get in the second round with Dan Barna, as he didn’t get 50%+ 1 of the validated votes.   Thursday, 23rd September, was over the first round of the domestic voting for the election of the USR PLUS chairman: there voted 32,815 (74.4%) of the total of 44,114 electors. The results are the following: Dacian Ciolos: 15,111 (46.0%); Dan Barna: 44,404 (43.9%); Irineu Darau (3,300) (10.1%), a press release of the party shows.
