Coronavirus: Hungary sends 40 ventilators and 3,000 Favipiravir boxes to Romania

Hungary sends 40 ventilators, 1,650 noninvasive ventilation masks and 3,000 boxes of  Favipiravir to 20 hospitals in Romania to help this country manage the Covid-19 epidemic, the Hungarian foreign minister Peter Szijjarto announced on Thursday, according to MTI.Most hospitals are in Transylvania.   “Considering the epidemic has no borders, the success of managing it in neighbor countries contributes a lot to the success of efforts against the pandemic in Hungary”,  said  Szijjarto. He mentioned that the fourth wave of the pandemic ravages Europe and countries with low vaccination rates, such as Romania, can have problems.   Many patients in Romania need invasive treatment and many hospitals hardly cope with the situation, the head of Hungarian diplomacy says. He added that in order to find the best assistance means, consultations between the governments of Budapest ad Bucharest are carried out. Representatives of the Romanian executive include provisional deputy premier Kelemen Hunor and provisional health minister Cseke Attila.
