Coface: Romania acts under its potential: this year there is no company left in top 20 Central and Eastern Europe

December 21, 2021

Romania acts under potential, and this year there is no company left in top 20 of the companies of Central and Eastern Europe, although there should be represented in top 10 companies in the region, said on Monday Eugen Anicescu, Country Manager, Coface Romania, in a press conference.According to him, Romania occupies place four in the top, with 56 companies, fewer with two against the previous top. According to him, Romania should occupy the second place and this is to be aimed at in a medium and long term.Eugen Anicescu stated that Romania has more companies which grow their turnover than companies which drop their turnover, as they are companies in sectors which benefitted from this period. The average rating of the companies in Romania which are in the top is 7, the second highest of all countries. The representative of Coface Romania said that this is due to the fact that Romania has extremely solid companies in top 500. Similarly, it is another proof of the polarity of the Romanian economy. From the sector perspective, top 3 sectors is made up of the non-specialised commerce, the oil sector and the automotive sector. The best positioned Romanian company in the country top is 22nd in that of region top. As for newly entered companies in the top there are two state-run companies: Nuclearelectrica and Transelectrica.
