Finance minister about 2022 budget: No new or higher taxes

Adrian Caciu, the minister of public finances, announced on Facebook, on Tuesday, that the draft budget for 2022 was being built and criticized the former liberal government. “We must recover many delays and things not carried out in time, and we are working on finding solutions,” Caciu said, pointing out that the government would not introduce new taxes to bring money to the budget. “I am the adept of fiscal-budget responsibility; we will keep budget deficit under control,” the minister added.   The minister also said that “we will not grow taxes and will not introduce new taxes to bring money to budget.”“I am adept of fiscal-budget responsibility – we will keep budget deficit under control. We continue the fiscal policy to stimulate economy, we encourage investments, we lay accent on higher productivity and we support a national program “Buy Romanian!”. We will initiate consultations with business representatives and those of the chambers of trade in Romania, a necessary dialogue in the perspective of financing Romanian will benefit from through the National Plan of Recovery and Resilience. Next to colleagues from Finance there is much to be done, but we are motivated, we have a good plan and tight deadlines,” he said.
