Survey: In 2022 the Romanians intend to change jobs

2022 is the year when the Romanians intend to change their jobs, shows the recruitment platform BestJobs according to which the number of candidates who applied to jobs in January increased by 66% against the beginning of 2021. Thus, over 166,000 applicants were looking for a new workplace in January, and most of them posted their CV for seven to twelve jobs.   ‘The decision of the Romanian employees to change their job is clear in the data on the recruitment platform BestJobs, according to which over 166,000 applicants were looking for a new workplace in January, and most of them presented their CV for seven to twelve jobs, depending on the domain of interest. By comparison to 2021, the number of active applicants from the beginning of the year has increased with over two thirds’ the company says. If at the beginning of 2021, there were mainly applicants with experience over five years who searched for a job, this year, the majority of the applicants (46%) have experience of medium level, between two and five years. Moreover, the most important mobility is noticed among women, with over 57% of the applications.   The top of the cities with the highest dynamics of applications is led by Bucuresti and Ilfov, with approximately 210,000 applications, followed by Timis, with approximately 60,000 applications and Cluj with over 40,000 applications. The jobs remote had a major interest on the part of the applicants, the number of applications surpassing 70,000 in January, with 17% more than at the beginning of last year.   The applicants aimed at opportunities in such domains as Financial /accountancy with 5,100 searches. Transport with 4,600 searches and Engineering with 3,000 searches. Even so, the highest interest on the part of the applicants was for Sales with over 70,000 applicants, in Management with over 42,000 applicants and in Financial/Accountancy with approximately 40,000 applications.   Out of the total of workplaces available in January on the recruitment platform BestJobs, 59% were in the category white collar, 14% were jobs in the blue collar category while 27% were jobs for positions of management and team coordination. The top of the companies with most applicants was led in January by Enel (with over 3,500 applicants),Unity Consulting (over 2,400 applicants), Teleperformance (over 2,200 applicants) and Ledmax Electronics (over 1,900 applicants). Although Enel has been first in the top for some time, Unity Consulting and Ledmax Electronics are there for the first time.   The appliants mostly chose positions such as Sales Consultant for an employer in Retail, with 1,400 applications, Customer Service in Romanian (job remote)for a company in the medical domain, with 1,300 applications and Sales Consultant by phone in a company in the BPO domain, with 1,300 applicants.   BestJobs is one of the biggest online recruitment platforms in Romania with over 4.6 million professionals connected to the work market, over 32,000 jobs and thousands of free lancers, recruitment agents or specialists in professional and personal development (coaches, mentors, therapists, lawyers and other types of specialists).
