Enel X Romania last year brought into operation 25 photovoltaic plants with a total rated power of about 10 MW

March 1, 2022

Enel X Romania, part of EnelX Global Retail, the international business division of the Enel Group, brought into operation 25 photovoltaic plants with total nominal power of approximately 10 MW. The photovoltaic units installed in 2021 contributed to the reduction by almost 4,000 tons/year of the carbon dioxide emissions. In 2022, Enel X Romania proposes to reach a rated contracted power of 20MW.    ‘A number of over 23,000 photovoltaic panels, covering a total surface of over 50,000 square metres, the equivalent of more than ten football stadiums, were installed in 2021 for the beneficiaries of Enel X.The panels, with mono-crystalline cells, were installed both on roofs and on the ground. For the first time, for two of their clients, Enel X Romania installed photovoltaic systems on the ground using state-of-the-art photovoltaic panels of 650 W, with high efficiency and increased resistance to wind and snow loads’ the company announced.   The photovoltaic plants installed ensure an annual production of electricity of almost 12,000 MWh/year, contributing to the reduction by approximately 4,000 tons/year of the carbon dioxide emissions.   The installation of these energy production sources generates savings for the partner companies, through the elimination of the costs associated to transport and electricity distribution as well as of the contributions for green certificates and co-generation.  ‘We proposed that by the end of 2025 we will have reached a portfolio of over 75 MW installed power cumulated for the clients in the business area’ said Mirel Jarnea, Head of e-Industries, Enel X Romania.   Over the last four years, Enel X Romania had projects which led to the installation of approximately 40,000 photovoltaic panels as a total. Such elements as charging stations for electric cars, optimization solutions for energy consumption and improvement of energy quality, available in the company portfolio, allow it to deliver integrated turnkey solutions for the beneficiaries.   During this year, in the context where more and more companies go to solutions which could make their energy consumption more efficient, and want to reduce the pressure of costs on this segment, Enel X Romania estimates more possibilities of growth on several key markets, proposing to get to contracted nominal power of 20 MW.   Enel X Romania is part of Enel X Global Retail, the global business line of Enel and leader in the sector of advanced electricity solutions. Enel X Romania manages electrical mobility services, with charging stations for electrical vehicles available everywhere in the country, offers complete solutions to industrial and commercial clients for local production of electricity by using photovoltaic panels, as well as advanced systems for e-city and e-home.  (Photo:https://www.enelx.com/)
