Orange Romania had consolidated business figure of 430 million euros in Q 4, 2021

Orange Romania had a consolidated business figure of 430 million euros in quarter 4, 2021, with an organic growth of 3% against quarter 4, 2020. In Romania, quarter 4 marked the completion of the transaction through which Orange Romania purchase the majority package of 54% shares owned by fixed telephone operator Telekom Romania Communications.   The consolidated business figure for 2021 is 1.235 billion euros, with an organic increase of 4% against 2020, the contribution of Telekom Romania Communications being only in quarter 4.   On December 31, 2021, Orange Romania offered mobile services to 10.6 million customers, broad band fixed services to 1.4 million customers, cable TV and satellite services to 1.5 million clients.   Throughout 2021, Orange extended the 4G network to 254 localities, while 4G+ extended to 1637 localities. In quarter 4, 2021, thousands of people in the rural area got access to 4G, the coverage being 98.31% of people , while 366 new localities in the rural and urban areas enjoyed advantages of 4G+ network. 5G network is available in 17 cities.   Independent measures made by ANCOM in the first half of 2021 through Netograf.ro showed that Orange has the best speeds for fixed and mobile Internet in Romania. In 2021, total incomes from B2B services recorded a significant increase compared to 2020. The most dynamic IT&C area in 2021 was Cloud, where the increase was 25% against 2020.   At the end of 2021, Orange Money had 300,000 clients, on the rise by 15% against the end of 2020. Last year, Orange Money launched its first credit card, which had one of the most competitive offers in the market, confirmed by the trebling of sales in Q 4, 2021 against Q3, 2021.
