Natural gas suppliers, obliged  to have storage in warehouses in the period 1st April to 31st October 2022

The suppliers of natural gas will be obliged that, between 1st April and 31st October 2022 make storage in underground warehousing for natural gas – of a minimum quantity to ensure the continuity and safety of supply for their end-users or to ensure own consumption and sustainability of the price, according to the draft ordnance regarding the measures applicable to end-users on the market of electricity and natural gas between 1st April 2022 and 31st March 2023.   According to the document, the whole quantity of natural gas representing the minimum stocks to be warehoused by each supplier/PET direct client must represent a minimum of 30% of the quantity of natural gas necessary to consumption to end users in the portfolio of own consumption.For the consumption between 1st April 2022 and 31st March 2023, the final prices invoiced by the suppliers of natural gas is maximum 0.31lei/kWh, VAT included, in case of household clients and maximum of 0.37lei/kWh, VAT included, in case of non-household clients whole annual consumption of natural gas made in 2021 at the place of consumption not more than 50,000 MWh.At the same time, the gas natural producers will be obliged to sell at a price set by the government quantities of natural gas from their current domestic production to or directly to suppliers of domestic customers and heat producers.
