Companies take into account salary rises of 7% in 2022. Over a third let employees choose the work mode

Companies foresee an average salary increase of 7% in 2022, and April is the month when about a third of companies implement salary increases foreseen for this year, according to a study made by a consulting company.   At the same time, 36% of companies announce they offer total flexibility to employees who will be able to choose working from home or office and 15% intend to increase the value of table tickets this year.   These are the main conclusions of HR Topics 2022- Spot Survey, made by Mercer March Benefits in Romania in March. The study synthesizes answers sent to the 166 companies in 17 domains. The Report covers the main tendencies anticipated for this year in areas of compensations and benefits such as approaching companies about resuming office activities, throughout the year.   According to the study, only 18% of companies choose to grant financial benefits for employees who work from home, in conditions of law 296/220. The average gross support of annual financial aid granted to an employee is 1,679 lei according to companies which grant them that kind of support. 13 companies pointed out that they grant that support monthly. While 11 companies concentrate benefit in a single annual payment.   More than a third of companies which sent data (36%) announce they will offer total flexibility to employees who can choose whether they want to continue working at home or at the office. At the same time, 21% of companies count on a joint work program for employees: 3 days from office and 2 days from home.
