The Elisabeta Palace Evening was celebrated on Tuesday, May 3rd, at 18:00, event dedicated to the International Festival EUROPAfest in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Radu. The event on Kiseleff Road was attended by Mr. Luigi Gageos, the director of the festival, and a series of business representatives.   Music unites. The last two years marked a major challenge for music events and it takes solidarity and support from the corporate business sector to revive and relaunch this cultural field.   In 2005, EUROPAfest was the first Romanian event distinguished with the High Patronage from the Royal House and in 2015 it was included on the list of the most appreciated festivals in Europe, receiving the EFFE (Europe’s Finest Festivals) title.   The 29th edition of EUROPAfest International Festival, organized by jmEvents, takes place on the 1st to 9th of July 2022. Each year, more than 250 artists from all around the globe showcase outstanding productions from four musical genres - jazz, blues, pop and classical.   Following the organizers and specialists’ selection, 23 jazz bands from 23 different countries were invited to the festival: Australia, Belgium, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Italy, Nigeria, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, South Africa, Tunisia, Turkey, the United States, UK, Ukraine, Wales,. The artists will offer a music marathon in the form of a series of jazz concerts, a contest, jam session evenings, open rehearsals, workshops for the public, autograph sessions and master classes.   EUROPAfest opens de 29th edition with a remarkable Opening Gala Concert event. The protagonists of the evening will be Peter Autschbach - guitar and Samira Saygili - vocals, the winners of "Deutscher Rock und Pop Preis", an event considered Europe’s Musical Oscar. Along with German artists, bands from the USA and Italy will perform. The event takes place on July 1st, at 20:00, at the Auditorium Hall - National Art Museum of Romania / Royal Palace.   “It’s all about live, quality music !” is this 2022 edition’s chosen slogan. EUROPAfest is a premium event destined for music lovers. It speaks to a refined audience and to those who want to experience these musical genres. Its purpose, since the first edition, was to bring international artists in Romania, the selection criteria being the musical value and not the marketing campaign of any artist. Furthermore, the organizers are firm on keeping the same format- quality vs. commercial, both out of respect for the audience and for the real music.
