The International Telecommunications and Information Society Day was celebrated on May 17, 2022, at the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIR), through a conference powered by ITU and organized by the Digital Transformation Council, The Mobile Communication Magazine and TelecomTv. The live hybrid conference was attended by over 6,000 professionals, decision-makers, and leaders from the ICT Industry in Romania. During the event, Nicoleta Macovei, CEO of S&T Romania, received the Diploma of Excellence for outstanding merits in the development of the ICT industry in Romania.
