Gas storage facilities are currently filled to 50% of capacity, more than Romania has pledged for August 1, Energy Minister Virgil Popescu wrote on Facebook.More than 1.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas were in storage on Friday, out of a total capacity of 3.07 billion.According to the minister, Romania has assumed before the European Commission a gas filling degree of 46 percent by August 1, 57 percent by September 1, 66 percent by October 1 and 80 percent by November 1."Under no circumstances is there a possibility that the protected population or customers, as we call them, the production of heat and electricity, the critical production of electricity, hospitals, kindergartens or everything that means protected customers have no gas supply, or no heating," Popescu also wrote.
