ONRC: 62,777 natural and juridical persons registered in first 5 months of 2022

The number of natural and juridical persons registered in the first five months of 2022 dropped by 6.5%, compared to the same period of 2021, to 62,777, of which 46,783 are limited companies, according to data centralized by the National Office of Trade Registrar (ONRC).   Most registrations were recorded in Bucharest – 11,623 (plus 14.21%, compared to January-May 2021) and in the counties of Cluj – 3,955 (plus 5.55%), Ilfov -3,184 (plus 5.33%) and Timis – 3,084 (plus 1.21%).   At the opposite pole, the smallest number of registrations was in the counties of Covasna – 352 (minus 24.14%, compared to the first 5 months of 2021), Tulcea – 457 (minus 20.66%) and Ialomita -473 (plus 5.58%).   According to ONRC, the fields in which most registrations were made are: wholesale and retail trade, vehicle and motorcycle repairs (11,136, minus 20.62% compared to the same period of 2021), constructions (6,980, minus 7.79%) and professional, scientific and technical activities (6,934, plus 18.73%).
