Brasov, in top of most popular summer destinations

Brasov ranks first in the top of the most popular summer destinations. Followed by Eforie Nord, Costinesti, Bucharest and Mamaia, according to analysis made by Travelminit, an online hotel platform. The Romanian sea coast dropped in popularity compared to previous years, according to the survey made based on reservations made in June-July 2023. As for everage prices for the summer featical in Romania, prices generally remained at last summer's levels.   “For instance, the average price for a night for a couple was 340 lei over June-August 2023, while the average price for one night accommodation for a family with two children was 536 lei. For twonights tourists paid 763 lei (2 persons) or 1,150 lei for a family. For 5 nights, Romanians paid 1,823 lei for two persons or 2,656 lei for a family,” according to the source.   The cheapest package on Travelminit.ro was sold in a hotel in Saturn at the price of 173 lei for two adults, two nights. The cheapest package for a family was sold in Miercurea Ciuc, for 850 lei, for 4 adults and 5 nights. The cheapest family package on the litoral was sold in 2 Mai for 1,200 lei for 4 persons and five nights.   “This summer, Brasov is in the top of tourists' preferences, a sign that tourists also choose alternate variants on the Romanian sea coast. The top of the busiest dstinations for the number of reservations are Eforie Nord, Costinesti and Mamaia. The three resorts are usually chosen by tourist who come to the litoral.”   The survey also shows that the two small vacations on June 1 amd St Mary) were the most crowded for summer tourism.   According to Travelminit.ro data, the day with most check-ins was June 1,2023, while the period with most check-ins at accommodation units in the country was between August 10 and 14 (with 66% of check-ins made over August 11 and 13). At the same time, tourists are now looking for complex packages for their holidays, packages including more than a mere accommodation.   “For instance, people who go to the seaside are looking for a private beach, umbrellas and sun loungers included in the package, in order to enjoy a comfortable stay, with several facilities included. Many of the people who bookon Travelminit are looking for rooms with a view or rooms with tubs and hydromassage”, the survey shows. In the case of more romantic people, rooms with romantic décor with rose petals and champagne are most successful.   Founded in Cluj Napoca, Travelminit company has been one of the biggest players in the hotel booking market in Romnaia since 2017.
