Right Force's Orban says party to endorse motion of censure against Ciolacu Gov't

The 16 MPs who are members of the Right Force party will sign and vote for the motion of censure against the Ciolacu Government, the party's chairman, MP Ludovic Orban, announced on Monday.The National Council of the Right Force decided on Monday on the political position regarding the Government's accountability in Parliament, as well as on the legislative priorities of the group's MPs.The rules of application of the statute were also adopted and the timetable for internal elections within the Right Force was defined."The National Council of the Right Force has mandated the party's parliamentarians to initiate, sign and vote on the motion of censure against the Government. From our point of view, tabling a motion of censure is the main objective, and as such the Right Force MPs will stand with any political party in the Opposition that wishes to initiate the motion of censure, and the 16 MPs of the Right will sign the motion of censure against the Government in order to prevent the policy of improvisation, a policy without any vision and without any plan, which does nothing but drive the Romanian economy into the ground and create serious problems in the Romanian society. The Ciolacu government must be sent on leave, it must be sent on perpetual vacation, because it is not capable of solving any of the major problems facing Romania and the Romanian citizens," Orban said at Parliament.He added that those liberal MPs dissatisfied with the Ciolacu Government now have the opportunity to support the motion of censure.As far as legislative priorities are concerned, the objectives for this parliamentary session refer to the adoption of the project initiated by the Right Force on the cancellation of all increases in taxes and contributions approved by Ordinance 16.Another legislative priority of the party is the abolition of special pensions and their calculation based on the contributory principle, "not the masquerade with which the Ciolacu Government came to Parliament," said Orban.Regarding the public sector wage law - another priority - the Right Force wants a real reform, namely "the elimination of any discrimination, especially of a political nature, which would establish the public sector wage system strictly on the basis of individual performance, leading to the payment of employees only on the basis of work actually performed, not on the basis of payment by all sorts of tricks.""As far as the new pension law is concerned, we have already formulated all the points of view. The only problem we see is that, although it was an obligation in the PNRR, conditionality, milestone, the adoption of a salary law, the adoption of the new pension law, the law abolishing special pensions, this government has not been able to come up with bills for a long time, because it has not been able to come up with solutions that would be correct and that would bring beneficial effects in the correct functioning of the administration in Romania," added Ludovic Orban.
