Government: Budgets of several ministries and state institutions, supplemented

The Government approved on Friday several draft government decisions or memoranda for supplementing the budgets of some ministries and other public institutions - the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of European Investments and Projects, Transport and Infrastructure, the Ministry of the Interior (MAI), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of the Environment, Waters and Forestry, the General Secretariat of the Government, SRR, the Chamber of Deputies, DNA and SRI, according to the Government."The additional funds are intended to ensure the financing of hospital services, compensated medicines, the payment of salaries from the health system and from the public order system, the increased payment of salaries from pre-university education, the payment of requests for financing some projects supported by European funds, supporting some investment projects in the fields of transport and the environment, as well as the proper functioning of state institutions", the information states.Thus, the MAI budget was supplemented with 960 million lei, an amount of which 395 million lei will be used for the payment of salary rights, and the amount of 565 million lei will be used for the payment of social rights. Also for the MAI, through a memorandum, 41.6 million lei was allocated for carrying out procurement procedures.The Ministry of Education received 184 million lei, funds necessary for the increased payment of the salaries of the staff in pre-university education.The Ministry of Health has been allocated, by decision, 200 million lei, an amount intended to cover the expenses of hospital units with beds.Also at the proposal of the Ministry of Health, two memoranda were approved for supplementing the budget of the Single National Social Health Insurance Fund (FNSUASS) with 500 million lei to ensure the running of health programs, the settlement of compensated medicines, sanitary materials, and another 168.331 million lei, money needed to ensure the payment of financial influences determined by salary increases and salary rights granted to staff in public health units.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs received, by decision, 85.2 million lei, of which 77.7 million lei for the payment of obligations arising from legal commitments concluded at diplomatic missions and consular offices of Romania abroad, as well as for strengthening the capacity of the armed forces from the partner states both from the Eastern Neighborhood and from the Western Balkans to face the current security challenges, all the more relevant in the context of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, and the remaining 7.5 million lei for the payment of an installment related to the annual contribution of Romania to the budget of the European Peace Facility (EPF), pillar II.The MIPE budget was supplemented, by decision, with 500 million lei for honoring the payment/reimbursement requests submitted by the beneficiaries of the projects financed by the Human Capital Operational Program, the Competitiveness Operational Programme, the Regional Operational Programme and the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme.The total amount of 381.5 million lei was approved by the Ministry of Transport, of which: 218.5 million lei in budget credits intended to finance projects in the field of transport carried out by the beneficiaries of the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme, 81.5 million lei in commitment credits and 81.5 million lei budget credits for financing projects within the Mechanism for the Interconnection of Europe.In order to cover the institutional needs and the financial support given to religious cults, the Government supplemented, by decision, the SGG budget, for the State Secretariat for Cults, with the amount of 333.3 million lei.
