November 23, 2023

Total revenues from postal services topped 4.6 billion RON in 2022, 11 percent more than in 2021, with parcel traffic accounting for about 81 percent thereof, the National Communications Administration and Regulation Authority (ANCOM) informs.By revenues from postal services obtained in 2022, the main competitors on the Romanian relevant market are Fan Courier, with a market share of 23.8 percent, the National Post Company (14.7 percent), Sameday (13.8 percent), and Cargus (9 percent), shows the 2022 Report on the Romanian postal services market.Investments in the postal services market amounted to 360 million RON in 2022, respectively 8 percent of the actors' annual revenues, up by almost 30 percent compared to the previous year."Support for the parcel traffic was the main driver of investments, materialized in the increase by nearly 80 percent in the number of automatic parcel delivery systems, to almost 4,500," the ANCOM said. The traffic of parcels and packets increased in 2022 by 6 percent to 232 million shipments, i.e. 12 items/inhabitant.
