Bestjobs: Rising number of Romanians looking for jobs

In October, candidates active on the online recruiting platform Bestjobs sent 1.1 million applications, thus marking a new monthly record for the whole year, Bestjobs recruiting company announced.   Moreover, candidates intensified their searches, each of them applying for 8-9 jobs, on the average, significantly more than at the beginning of the year, when they applied for 6-7 jobs. The number of new resumes is also rising, being in October 15% higher than in the previous month.   Fiekds with most applications in October were Sales, Engineering, IT, Financial-Accounting and Call center/BPO. However, a considerable evolution versus September could be noticed in the cas of IT, where the volume of applications went up by 10%, Legal/Public sector by 20%, Marketing, Sales and Transports by 5% each.   Moreover, students and entry-level candidates became more active in October on Bestjobs, their application representing 26% of the total volume, at similar level at as the beginning of summer, when they applied for part time jobs. Moreover, remote jobs or those with flexible progOctober offers for such jobs attracted over 120,000 applications and more than 90,000 searches had as subject the expressions “remote”, “work from home”, “work from the distance”, or “work at home”.   Remote and hybrid jobs represent 15% of total jobs available on Bestjobs. At the same time, the expression “part time” accumulated over 45,000 interrogations on Bestjobs platform. According to the recruiting platform, that thing is due to the period in which students become active in looking for new opportunities and the efforts of full time employees to increase their incomes, a recurrent tendency in the past year.   About Bestjobs   Bestjobs is one of the most important online recruiting platform in Romania.
