Net average salary climbes to 4,593 RON in September 2023, up 62 RON v August

The average net salary in September 2023 was 4,593 RON, an increase of 62 RON (+1.4%) compared to the previous month, and the highest values were recorded in the manufacture of coke oven products and products obtained from crude oil processing (11,450 RON), according to the data published on Monday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS). (1 euro = 4.9692 RON)The lowest net profits were recorded in hotels and restaurants (2,524 lei).The average gross salary was 7,350 RON, 92 RON (+1.3%) higher than in August 2023.Compared to September of the previous year, the average net salary increased by 14.7%.The real wage gain index was 105.4% in September 2023 compared to September 2022, and 100.6% in September 2023 compared to August 2023. Compared to October 1990, the real wage gain index was 230.9%, 1.3 percentage points higher than the one recorded in August 2023.
