CCIFER: French investments in Romania totalled €10.5 billion in 2022

December 14, 2023

The French investments in Romania were worth, in 2022, 10.5 billion euro and the bilateral French-Romanian commerce was worth 10.7 billion euro, stated on Wednesday Adriana Record, executive manager of the French Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Romania (CCIFER) on the occasion of the launching of the international campaign ‘Marque France/Marca Franta’.According to the quoted source, the Romanian companies have the possibility to access the global market as a result of the integration in the French business eco-system. ‘This collaboration generated a major impact on the Romanian companies, preparing them to access the global market. Firstly, the effort for local integration of the big investors in industry led to the development of the suppliers chains. You have the example of Dacia which through the campaign ‘Produced in Romania’ aimed at the identification of local producers for parts and sub-parts as an alternative of the international suppliers. This integration led to the increase of the competitions of the Romanian companies and the diversification of the customer portfolios, increasing the appetite for innovation and development and contributing to the common goal of economic refocusing Europe, thereby reducing dependence on Asia. In the over 120 French-speaking channels which go from technical and judicial studies to management, the Romanian companies find young talents drawn by international experience and go on the French market without touristic barriers. In a nutshell, the Romanian companies have the chance to learn and grow together with their French partners from Romania and today they have the opportunity to apply this experience in approaching a mature market’, mentioned the CCIFER representative. She added that France is the most attractive country for investments in Europe, for the fourth year in a row.  ‘A reason for which a Romanian company would invest in France is the aspiration to play in a league of excellence. France is the most attractive country for investments in Europe for the fourth year in a row and over 9,000 companies have chosen, over the last five years, such investments. The Romanian companies are more and more acknowledged for added value in such sectors as industry or informatics services. There is an eco-system which helps them to succeed in this business adventure. In 2021, France was the seventh destination for investments for the Romanian companies’ , said Adriana Record. The Embassy of France to Romania organised on Wednesday a press conference on the occasion of the launching of the international campaign ‘Marque France/Marca Franta’.This initiative which mobilises the whole French diplomatic network, showcases the assets of the country as regards industrial and economic dynamism, potential for innovation and cultural and artistic vitality, so that investors and talents from the whole world achieve their dreams in France and with the help of France.
