The International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) will organise in Romania an economic mission of La Francophonie to Central and Eastern Europe, an event that will take place in Bucharest, March 27 - 29, 2024, Romania's Ministry of Economy reported on Monday.According to the ministry, after three successful first editions in Southeast Asia (Vietnam and Cambodia), Central Africa (Gabon and Rwanda) and the Middle East (Lebanon), the mission to be organised next year in Romania is part of the Economic Strategy for Francophonie 2020-2025, which aims to boost trade and investment exchanges between the 88 OIF member states and governments.The mission brings together a high-level economic forum and business-to-business networking sessions, particularly in the agri-food, digital - including cybersecurity and the video games industry, green energy and medical sectors, and it includes support from experts, visits to company sites and networking opportunities to identify and realise commercial and investment opportunities.The registration platform for the event is available November 24 - December 22, 2023, on the OIF website.
