Military parade on National Day in Bucharest

The National Defense Ministry organizes on Friday, on Romania's National Day, severeal events in Bucharest and Alba Iulia, among which the military parade in the Arch of Triumph Square.   “On the National Day of Romania, the Defense Ministry organizes in Bucharest, on Friday, December 1, a military and religious ceremony of wrath laying at the Grave of the Unknown Solider in Carol I Park, for the memory of Romanian heroes who died on the battle field to fulfill national ideals. The military parade will be held as of 11.00 a.m in the Arch of Triumph Square in Bucharest will be marked by the participation of 2,400 militaries and specialists of the National Defense Ministry, the Interior Ministry, the Romanian Intelligence Service, the Special Telecommunications Service and the National Penitentiary Administration. At the same time, about 250 foreign militaries belonging to detachments from Belgium, France, Northern Macedonia, Moldova, Luxembourg, Poland, Protugal, Spain, USA and the Netherlands and militaries from allied countries contributing to NATO structures in Romania will participate,” says the press release issued by the Defense Ministry on Tuesday.   According to the source, the military technology parade is made of 130 technical means and the air component includes 40 Romanian military aircraft, 23 of which are land and air military equipment of participating foreign militaries.   “After the conclusion of the official ceremony, the public will be able to visit military technique stands located in the area until 2.00 p.m. The exhibition “Three colored flag,a symbol of Romanians' identity will be varnished on Friday as of 1.00 p.m, at the National Military Museum. The exhibition is part of the celebration of two important events – Romania's National Day and 100 years since the setting up the National Military Museum by King Ferdinand I, on December 18, 1923. Bucharest events will end at 7.00 pm with the withdrawal of militaries of “Mihai Viteavul” Guard Brigade 30, bearing torches on the route Palace of the National Military Circle – Victoria Avenue – Parliament Palace – Cotroceni Palace- brigade headquarters”, the Defence Ministry mentions.   The celebration of 105 years since the Great Union of Romanian provinces in a single state is celebrated by Romanian militaries with ceremonies andmarches of military personnel and technology in garrisons throughout the country where big military units are dislocated. At the same time the national flag will be hoisted in all military institutions in the country, and the Great Flag will be hoisted aborad sea and river ships, the press release mentions.
