The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luminita Odobescu, on Wednesday reiterated Romania's support for Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic path, along the lines decided at the NATO Summit in Bucharest in 2008, as well as our country's interest that the anniversary Summit in Washington next year marks a step forward in Kiev's relationship with NATO.The head of the Romanian diplomacy participated in the session of the NATO-Ukraine Council (NUC), which ended the meeting of foreign ministers from the NATO member states, held in Brussels, on November 28-29.In her intervention, according to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Romanian minister reiterated her support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, within its internationally recognized borders, reaffirming Ukraine's sovereign right to decide on its foreign and security policy.She condemned in the strongest terms the unprovoked and unjustified military invasion of Russia in Ukraine, reiterating the fact that it represents a flagrant violation of international law.Luminita Odobescu also emphasized the importance of strengthening political and practical support measures for Ukraine, in order to strengthen the resilience of Ukrainian institutions. In this context, he referred to Romania's multidimensional and comprehensive support for Ukraine and the objective to continue on this line, as long as it will be necessary.
