Three out of four Romanians will spend their winter vacation at home

Approximately 73% of Romanians claim that they will not go on vacation at all this winter, and of those who will, almost 11.5% will spend their winter vacation in Romania, in the mountains, 7.5% will spend it with relatives/in the country, over 6% on the Romanian seacoast and only 2.6% will spend it abroad, according to a survey carried out by CEC Bank in partnership with FinZoom.ro.Among those who will spend their holidays abroad, about 22% say they will go to Turkey, almost 16% chose Spain, 12.5% - Greece, 10% each will spend their holidays in Bulgaria and Italy and over 6% in Egypt. Other holiday destinations include Norway, the UK and Brazil.When it comes to the budget allocated this year for the winter vacation, approximately 80% of the respondents mentioned that they will allocate less than RON 1,000, over 11% answered between RON 1,000 - 2,000, 6.5% will allocate between RON 2,000 - 4,000, and almost 4% intend to spend over RON 4,000.Regarding the means of transport that Romanians use to go on vacation, the personal car is the first choice. More than half of those who will go on vacation will go by car, about 23% chose to travel by train, over 15% by bus and approximately 8% by plane.The survey was conducted online by the FinZoom financial comparator, at the request of CEC Bank, on a sample of about 1,200 respondents from all over the country, representative of Internet users. 53% of the respondents are employees, 75% live in the city and over 27% have higher education.
