State Secretary for European Affairs, Daniela Gitman received on Wednesday, 10 January 2024, the Ambassador of the Republic of Greece to Romania, Evangelia Grammatika, on the occasion of the presentation of copies of letters of accreditation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said in a press release. The meeting offered the occasion of an evaluation of the stage of the Romanian-Greek relations which are at an excellent level, context in which the Romanian state secretary reconfirmed the interest of our country to boost the political-diplomatic dialogue and the economic-sectorial cooperation agenda. In this sense, she showed the relevance of the continuation of implementation of the actions agreed in the Joint Declaration for the consolidation of political, economic and sectorial cooperation between Romania and the Hellenic Republic, signed at the level of prime-ministers in Bucharest on 23rd February 2022, aspect capable to support, in a steady manner a consolidated dynamics of the bilateral relations as a whole. The two parts had, as well, an exchange of opinions regarding the present challenges for security and the cooperation priorities at the regional level, the Romanian party focusing on the necessity to continue the multidimensional support for Ukraine as well as for the Republic of Moldova. The Romanian official assured the Greek Ambassador of his full support in his work and wished him success in fulfilling his mandate in Romania.
