The Government and healthcare trade union representatives agreed on a simpler solution to fill medical system vacancies
During today's consultations at Victoria Palace, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu and healthcare trade union representatives agreed on de-bureaucratization of the procedure to fill healthcare vacancies to be enforced as of next year. To ensure the continuity of medical services, a legislative solution to allow public healthcare system vacancies to be filled by competition, will be approved by the Government, without the need for a Memorandum to be adopted at today's meeting. This measure will simplify the procedures for filling healthcare vacancies.
The Government and healthcare trade union representatives also discussed finding solutions to hire young specialist doctors in the public healthcare system.
The pay rise prospect for healthcare employees and the elimination of income inequality were also discussed in the context of the Government approving the draft budget law for next year.
Consultations between Government and healthcare representatives will continue over the next period.
Attending the meeting alongside Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu were Vice Prime Minister Marian Neacșu, Health Minister Alexandru Rafila, Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Alexandru-Mihai Ghigiu, Secretary of State at the Finance Ministry, Mihai Diaconu, state advisors at the PM Chancellery, Carmen Orban și Minel Ivașcu.
