Întrevederea premierului Marcel Ciolacu cu vicepremierul Republicii Kazahstan, Murat Nurtleu, ministrul Afacerilor Externe

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu: The excellent dynamics of relations between Romania and Kazakhstan unleash the potential of bilateral cooperation in Europe's interconnection with the Caspian Sea area

Today, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu welcomed at the Victoria Palace, the Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu. Attending the meeting were also Vice Prime Minister Marian Neacsu and Energy Minister Sebastian-Ioan Burduja.
The Romanian Prime Minister welcomed the upward trajectory of political dialogue and bilateral cooperation, pointing out that the Republic of Kazakhstan is Romanias largest economic partner in Central Asia. An important topic addressed during the meeting was energy cooperation, with both sides agreeing to foster the development of cooperation to enhance the supply security for EU member states, but also for the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. In this regard, the Head of the Romanian Executive emphasized the importance of Kazakhstans involvement in strengthening the international transport route connecting the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea.
The excellent dynamics of bilateral cooperation unleash the necessary potential for projects through which Romania and Kazakhstan can contribute to the development of connectivity between Europe and Central Asia. If we talk about energy security, the reconfiguration of transport routes and energy supply, including green energy, it is an objective of interest both in the Black Sea area and for the Caspian Sea area, and Romania is ready to take an active role in this regard, stated Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.
The two officials also discussed the regional security situation in the context of the Russian Federations aggression against Ukraine.
