Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu met with the Heads of Missions of the states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Group of Ambassadors of the Arab States Accredited to Bucharest
Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu received today, at the Victoria Palace, the delegation of the heads of mission of the states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Group of Arab States Accredited to Bucharest.
The meeting took place in the context of recent security developments in Israel and the Gaza Strip and focused on the humanitarian dimension of the conflict, as well as the need to promote peace and stability in the Middle East.
Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu extended his thanks to the states that supported the repatriation of Romanian citizens from the Gaza Strip and called for the observance of the international humanitarian law provisions. The Head of the Romanian Executive also pointed out that Romania sent aid to the civilian population of Gaza. At the same time, he reaffirmed the need for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages held by the Hamas terror organization.
