JTI Romania, Top Employer every year since 2014

February 28, 2024

JTI Romania is Top Employer for the 11th year in a row, certification being received after an in-depth assessment realized by the Top Employers Institute. JTI was rated for more than 20 criteria such as leadership, work environment, on-boarding, talent attraction, development policies, learning, well-being, rewards, and recognition.   Alexander Pitchka, General Manager JTI Romania, Moldova, and Bulgaria: ”This certification is fundamentally important to JTI as it represents independent confirmation of us doing the right thing for our more than 1.400 employees. Developing our people, attracting the best and nourishing their creativity are essential to making our company fit and ready for the challenges of today and tomorrow. JTI Romania’s reputation and its responsibility towards the local community and wider society are also vital elements in creating a sense of belonging for the employees. We are convinced that our people are our most important, most valuable asset and we are delighted and proud to see that conviction being recognized with this honorable award for 11 years now”.   ”The JTI factory in Bucharest is highly recognized within the group, due to excellence in execution, efficiency and striving for continuous improvement. JTI Manufacturing was the first company in Romania to be certified in 2009 as 5S Best in Class, a key principle of the Kaizen Japanese management system. About 75% of the products manufactured here in Bucharest go to export in more than 60 countries worldwide. All our great achievements are the result of our people’s dedication and team spirit. They make JTI a Top Employer and I will take this opportunity to thank them all for their commitment”, added Oguz Kose, Cluster Factory Lead, JTI Romania.   “This certification recognizes once again that JTI is a great place to work, a company that nurtures talent, offers opportunities to develop and takes care of employees’ wellbeing. We will continue to build JTI as a big family and an inspiring workplace, by improving our People & Culture practices and become an even better employer. This will be to the benefit of our current employees, and also for our future colleagues, who will find at JTI not only a job but a place where they can be authentic and pursue their true calling”, said Milena Rajic, People & Culture Director JTI Romania, Moldova, and Bulgaria. Globally, JTI is one of only 17 companies to be honored with the global Top Employer award.   JTI is one of the first multinationals companies established locally and has so far invested over 300 million euros in Romania.
