The Ministry of National Defence (MApN) informed that on Monday evening, at 22:37, the radar surveillance system detected two aerial targets 25 kilometers north-west of the Snake Island, which were heading toward Romania's border.Two F-18 aircraft of the Spanish Air and Space Forces from the 57th "Mihail Kogalniceanu"Air Base took off to monitor the situation, according to a MApN release.The National Military Command Center notified the Inspectorate General for Emergency Situations (IGSU) regarding the implementation of measures to alert the population residing in northern Tulcea county.A RO-ALERT message was sent at 22:55.At 22:58, the targets disappeared from the radar, with explosions being reported on the Ukrainian side.No incursions into the national airspace were detected, the MApN mentioned.
