Almost 7,000 companies suspend activity during first 7 months of 2021

The number of companies that suspended their activity was 6,945 during the first 7 months of 2021, going up by 12.43%, when comparing with the similar period of last year, according to the data published by the National Trade Register Office (ONRC).By activity areas, the largest number of suspended companies was registered in retail and wholesale, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, namely 1,959 (+14.96%), other service activities - 776 (+14.79%) and in professional, scientific and technical activities - 557 (+8.37%).In July 2021 there have been 902 companies suspended, most of them in Bucharest (103) and the counties of Cluj (46), Teleorman and Neamt - 40 each, and Bihor (39).
