The U.S. Ambassador Kathleen Kavalec said on Thursday, in Galati, referring to the war in Ukraine, that Romania showed the world the true meaning of solidarity, the Americans being impressed by the way the people and the Government of Romania went to the border when the war started to help those in need.As strategic partners and allies in NATO, we are united in the face of Russia's unprovoked and illegal aggression, to support Ukraine and strengthen the collective defense within the Alliance. All this time, in the face of the unimaginable hardships endured by our neighbors in Ukraine, Romania showed the world the true meaning of solidarity. The mobilization and empathy on the part of the people of Galati for their neighbors was quite extraordinary. We were impressed by the way the people and the Government of Romania went to the border, to help those in need by offering tea and cake, along with material support.
