Austria class by Classix Festival 2022

* Auner Quartet concerts and premier of #New Together documentary in Iasi   In order to mark the third year of their collaboration, the Austrian Cultural Forum and Classix Festival in Iasi took the partnership to a higher level by proposing three class events between February 13 and 19 – two Auner Quartet concerts and a series of projections of the documentary #New Together by Carmen Lidia Vidu.   “During three years of existence, thanks to the quality, dynamism and innovating spirit, which have become it trademarks, Classix Festival conquered the young public of Iasi and Romania in general, more rapidly and more durable than expected from a classic music festival. A supporter of daring actions, the Austrian Cultural Forum is happy to contribute to the ascension of the project, classic for contemporary tastes, an example of good artistic practices for Central and Eastern Europe,” said Thomas Kloiber, the director of the Austrian Cultural Forum.   Program “Elegy of Hope”Concert – February 13, 7.30p.m., “Saint Virgin Mary”Cathedral “Mirrage” Concert with Auner Quartet, February 14, 7.00 p.m., Iasi Palace of Culture Series of projections of #New Together documentary , February 14, 5.00 and 7.00 p.m., February 15-19, 7.00 p.m, Conference Hall of Iasi Museum House.   Auner Quartet is an ambassador of Austrian culture 2020/2022, part of the program #NASOM – New Austrian Sound of Music. This program was created and is carried out upon the initiative of the federal Austrian Ministry of European and International Affairs, I partnership with the Austrian Center of Musical Information and Austrian Music Export.   The documentary #New Together – during the first quarantine period set up after the setting up of the Covid 19 pandemic in Europe, the Austrian Cultural Center Bucharest invited 60 artists from Austria and Romania to think about their own artistic future and to the way in which their art and out communities can change during and after the end of the sanitary crisis. This video experiment is at the basis of the documentary movie made by the well known and appreciated Romanian film and theater director Carmen Lidia Vidu.
