Bergenbier, the beer of friendship in Romania, celebrates 30 years and launches a new communication platform

Bergenbier celebrates three decades of presence on the Romanian market, consolidating its status as an emblematic brand in the beer industry. On this occasion, the brand celebrates the authentic moments that have united generations of friends around a beer.
In the spirit of this anniversary, Bergenbier brings back the famous slogan "Friends Know Why", launched in 1995, through the platform Orice pentru prieteni ("Anything for Friends"), a new commitment that reaffirms the brand's core values ​​and the importance of authentic connections between people. Through this initiative, the brand reconfirms its mission to bring people together, as it has been doing for 30 years in Romania.
"Friends know why they choose Bergenbier! Since its launch, Bergenbier has been an industry pioneer, being the first beer distributed nationally and the first brand to introduce major innovations, such as non-alcoholic beer, Fresh mixes, unfiltered beer and Ale beer – designated beer of the year in 2016. At the same time, Bergenbier was the first brand in the industry to associate beer with football, becoming an official partner of the Romanian National Team. In 2010, yellow became the emblematic colour of the brand, strengthening a symbolic connection between the Romanian flag, the national team's equipment and friends' beer. Since 1995, the year that marks the beginning of the Bergenbier story on the local market, we have built our identity around one of the most important human values: authentic friendship. Over the years, we have integrated into our communication those relevant contexts in which friendship is expressed naturally, and the Bergenbier brand has assumed the role of a banner of true friendship, encouraging all Romanians to spend time together and value their group of friends more," said Victor Teioșanu, Marketing Director Bergenbier S.A.
„Orice pentru prieteni” – The new Bergenbier platform
In 2025, Bergenbier begins a new chapter by launching the "Anything for Friends" campaign, an initiative that reflects the brand's belief that true friendship is built in those authentic "golden moments." Comedians Sorin Pîrcălab, Toma Alexandru and Cristi Popesco are the brand's endorsers in the new campaign.
"Friendship is one of the fundamental values ​​of humanity, and its complexity and nuances give it an essential role in the lives of each of us. Today, Bergenbier is a mature brand, with constant communication built around this value, one that we carry into every partnership we think of for the brand. In an anniversary year, in which we celebrate 30 years of presence on the Romanian market, we explore a new perspective on friendship – those moments of involvement, of extra effort that we make with love in the name of authentic relationships. These are attributes that we have relied on from the very beginning both in our organization and in the relationship with our partners and consumers. The new communication campaign was created together with the Ogilvy team, marking a new beginning for the brand and will be integrated with TV, radio, outdoor, digital, as well as special projects. The campaign aong with the TVC can be discovered on the official Bergenbier website.
