BNR foreign exchange reserves down to 61.174 billion EUR in November

As of end-November 2024, the forex reserves of the National Bank of Romania (BNR) stood at 61.174 billion EUR, down by 2.65% compared to the level recorded on October 31, 2024, of 62.841 billion EUR, the central bank announced in a release sent on Monday.Inflows recorded in November 2024 amounted to 4.374 billion EUR, representing changes in the foreign exchange reserve requirements of the credit institutions, inflows into the accounts of the Ministry of Public Finance, other.Outflows stood at 6.041 billion EUR, representing changes in the foreign exchange reserve requirements of the credit institutions, interest and principal payments on the foreign currency public debt (some 649 million EUR), payments from the European Commission's account, other.Romania's gold holdings remained unchanged at 103.6 tonnes worth 8.399 billion EUR, as per the current international prices.Romania's international reserves (foreign currencies and gold) as of November 30, 2024 amounted to 69.573 billion EUR, compared to 71.361 billion EUR at October 31, 2024.Payments due this December on the public and publicly guaranteed foreign currency-denominated debt amount to roughly 441 million EUR.
