BNR foreign exchange reserves up to 32.531bn euro, in November

The foreign exchange reserves of the National Bank of Romania (BNR) rose by 0.5pct in November to 32.531 billion euro, compared to the level recorded at the end of October, according to a BNR press release issued on Monday. The gold reserve maintained at 103.7 tonnes, worth 3.599 billion euro. Romania’s international reserves (foreign currencies plus gold) on 30 November 2018 were worth 36.130 billion euro, compared to 35.949 billion euro on 31 October 2018. The payments due in December 2018 in the account of the public debt denominated in foreign currency, direct or guaranteed by the Ministry of Public Finance, amounted to approximately 137 million euro.
