The Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIB) has opened an office in Brussels to represent the CCIB in its relations with European Union (EU) institutions, including the European Parliament, the European Council, and the European Commission (EC), as well as with specialized agencies and related offices.According to a press release from the Bucharest Chamber, sent on Thursday, a cooperation protocol was signed at the inauguration between CCIB, represented by President Iuliu Stocklosa, and Cristian David, appointed Head of the CCIB Representation Office in Brussels.The event was also attended by Catalin Grigorescu, president of the Chamber Policy Section within the CCIB leadership board, and Gabriela Iftene, executive director of CCIB."Through this protocol, the Brussels Representation Office will ensure the CCIB's representation in relations with European Union institutions, including the European Parliament, the European Council, and the European Commission, as well as with specialized agencies and related offices,' the release stated.At the same time, the agreement will help strengthen direct ties between the CCIB and international organizations with economic and commercial activities, aiming to promote the interests of the Bucharest and Romanian business community, support participation in joint projects, and enhance CCIB's role within European and international networks.
