Cargus launches International Service, facilitating the expansion of Romanian businesses into foreign markets

October 31, 2024

As of October 1, Cargus’ Romanian customers can ship to Bulgaria and Greece. Additional countries will follow in the coming months, positioning Cargus as a pan-European courier. Cargus allows businesses to expand their reach and to accelerate their growth by facilitating cross-border trade in an easy and risk-free fashion. Romanian customers can continue to use Cargus’ well-known standard service for their international shipments, resulting in a simple and flawless shipping process, supported by an ecosystem of advanced technology solutions. The service includes door-to-door delivery for parcels up to 31 kg and a transit time of 2-3 business days for Bulgaria and 3-5 for Greece.   Cargus, one of Romania's leading courier companies, is expanding its portfolio with the launch of an international service, enabling its customers to ship packages from Romania to foreign destinations, initially opening routes to Bulgaria and Greece.   This marks a significant milestone in the company’s international expansion strategy, with plans to include other European destinations in the near future. The service offers Romanian businesses the possibility to ship internationally, hassle free, using the same processes they are familiar with when shipping domestically.   The new service complements Cargus' existing international network and capabilities, which facilitate shipments today from countries such as Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary and Slovakia to Romania.   Growth opportunity for Romanian businesses   For Romanian businesses that have not yet tapped into the potential of neighbouring markets, now is the perfect moment to do so. Using Cargus as the courier for both domestic and international shipments means ease of use: one contract, same service for both domestic and international deliveries, usage of existing shipping/e-commerce solutions combined with attractive, competitive pricing. Cargus has created its international service and rate structure in such a way that new destination countries can be added easily. News about which countries are next and when these new destinations go live, will follow in the coming months.   "In an increasingly dynamic global context, Romanian companies require fast, efficient, and reliable solutions to expand their presence in international markets. After successfully attracting volumes to Romania, we are excited to now offer a solution for our Romanian customers that are looking to expand their businesses internationally. With the new international service, Cargus reaffirms its commitment to being a trusted partner for local businesses, offering not only high-quality courier services, but also enabling growth. Therefore, we provide our customers with access to the world's largest markets and e-commerce marketplaces, allowing them to explore new markets with limited effort and risk-free in a partnership with Cargus. We aim to facilitate their accelerated growth, by helping them to deliver products quickly and efficiently to key destinations in the region, and soon, across all of Europe.", said Yannick Mooijman, CEO Cargus.   About Cargus With over 30 years of experience, Cargus is the first courier company on the Romanian market.
