Cargus launches the first e-Commerce platform for delivery services in Romania, dedicated to entrepreneurs and individuals with recurring shipments

January 18, 2024

The e-Commerce SIGN & GO platform is a 100% digital solution dedicated to PFA, micro and SME entities, as well as individuals who send parcels on a recurring basis. Merchants who can contract courier services online are both B2C and B2B. Among the most important benefits of the platform are instant access, fast enrollment, flexibility and control over shipments, but also up to 50% lower prices of services purchased online.   An active supporter of the digital interaction experiences of senders and recipients, Cargus launches the first e-Commerce platform on the Romanian courier market - SIGN & GO.   The 100% digital solution allows companies such as PFA, micro and SME, as well as individuals with recurring shipments, to purchase the best package of delivery services according to their courier needs and thus access the entire ecosystem of Cargus courier, regardless of the monthly volume of parcels.   "The growth speed and diversification of online commerce in Romania generates a series of important changes in the expectations and needs of entrepreneurs, but also of individuals who use shipping services frequently. We understood that it was necessary to take an extra step, which is why we have invested consistently in the accelerated digitization of our services, which would provide customers with a simplified, automated and efficient experience. In short, a much better one. The SIGN & GO e-Commerce platform, a first in the courier industry in Romania, is a guarantee of the fast and efficient way in which the interaction with us is carried out. Everything can happen online: from identifying the services compatible with the customer profile, contracting online, accessing the customer account, managing shipments - sending, modifying, forwarding, and even tracking parcels and paying for them." says Andreea Radu, Marketing Director Cargus (Photo).   Also, the e-Commerce platform responds to the need for automation and efficiency specific to these segments and completes the portfolio of digital solutions developed by Cargus, for recipients and occasional senders, such as the Cargus Mobile App, an application that has exceeded 1 million downloads.   "The decision to launch the e-Commerce platform was based on market trends that will strengthen in the medium and long term. Over 60%% of PFA, micro and SME entities have recurring shipments of up to 20 parcels or envelopes per month, according to existing market data. Moreover, courier services will increase in importance for individuals, due to the increasing adoption of the concepts of re-Commerce (pre-owned) and reversed logistics (return), but also due to the actual growth of this segment - the estimates shows that the number of individuals will increase in the coming years from approximately 6 million to over 8.5 million users. Both categories need costs adapted to the recurrent, but also automation and efficiency", states Andreea Radu.   Among the most important benefits of the SIGN & GO platform are instant access, fast enrollment, flexibility and control over shipments.   Entrepreneurs and individuals can choose 100% digitally the courier service package they want, personalized and adapted to their needs, they can sign the contract in maximum 5 minutes, simple and fast. Thus, customers can access their shipper account and the Cargus universe of solutions almost instantly, with the ability to change shipping needs in real time, depending on business development and consumer needs.   Moreover, the platform eliminates negotiation and administrative processes, thus saving time and providing customers with courier packages at rates reduced by up to 50% compared to list prices.   About Cargus   With over 30 years of experience, Cargus is the first courier company on the Romanian market. Currently, the company has over 3,000 employees and collaborators, offers a wide range of courier services: door to door delivery and through the out of home delivery network, SHIP & GO (partner points and lockers), which offers customers the opportunity to pick up or send parcels from over 3,000 points across the country.   In 2021, Cargus acquired QeOPS, one of the most important providers of e-fulfilment services and customized logistics solutions in Romania, complementing its services offered to customers.   Cargus’ excellent services were awarded at The Courier & Postal Services Business Awards for Excellence 2022 event, organized by GOVNET Romania: The Most Impressive Business Evolution and Best Web Application for Delivery Services.
