Cars: Dacia will launch several electric models, starting with Sandero in 2027

February 19, 2025

Dacia, the low cost car of the French group Renault, will launch several electric models in future, starting with the next Sandero, which will appear in 2027, according to director Denis Le Vot, Reuters informs.   At present, Dacia offers a single fully electric model, Spring, while the company hopes that placing Dacia in the area of accessible prices, makes it a good competitor in the context of the imminent Chinese offensive in the European market. Sandero, for which a fully electric solution will be found, was the best sold car in Europe last year.   Previously, Renault group had announced that Dacia sales in the world went up by 2.7% last year, to 676,340 cars, reaching record levels in the market, especially in Italy (13.1%), Morocco (16.3%), Belgium and Luxembourg (15.4%).   This result was determined by the solid production plan based on four basic models, Sandero, Duster, Jogger and Spring. The tendency will continue in 2025 with the new model Bigster, for which orders were launched in early January, and which will be available in spring 2025.   In 2025, the trademark intends to continue its strategy based on essential elements, expanding C segment with Bigster and concentrating on electrification, three makes with hybrid propulsion systems being now available.
