The Bucharest Chamber of Trade and Industry (CCIB), in partnership with Poland-Romania Bilateral Chamber of Trade and Industry, organized CCIB Business Opportunity Day with Poland. The event represented a platform for dialogue and exchange of opportunities between Romanian and Polish businessmen, focused mainly on the consolidation of bilateral economic relations and identifying new cooperations directions. The businss meeting took place in the context of the official visit made by the delegation of Silesian Voivodeship, organized by Upper Silesian Fund, which gathered innovating companies in the area. The latter are functioning in fields of strategic interest fields like smart city technologies and transport, IT and cloud solutions, retail, logistics, food industry, lab research and health, as well as in the manufacture of equipment and technological lines for various industrial branches. “Poland remains one of Romania's most important commercial partners in EU. In 2024, bilateral commercial exchanges reached 11.72 billion euro, marking an increase of 6.12% compared to 2023 and establishing a new record. Romanian exports to Poland amounted to 3.71 billion euro (+8.51%), while imports from Poland were 8 billion euros (+5.05%). CCIB reasserts its engagement in backing the consolidation of these relations by setting up concrete partnership opportunities and facilitating access to the markets of the two states,” said CCIB chairman Iuliu Stocklosa. Besides Romanian and Polish businessmen, the event was attended by representatives of the Polish Embassy to Romania, the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Romanian Agency for Investments and foreign Trade (ARICE), support institutions for business and companies in fields of interest.
