Celebrating 25 Years of Electronic Communications in Romania - CEO of S&T Romania Awarded for Outstanding Merits in ICT Industry

The International Telecommunications and Information Society Day was celebrated on May 17, 2022, at the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIR), through a conference powered by ITU and organized by the Digital Transformation Council, The Mobile Communication Magazine and TelecomTv. The live hybrid conference was attended by over 6,000 professionals, decision-makers, and leaders from the ICT Industry in Romania.   During the event, Nicoleta Macovei, CEO of S&T Romania, received the Diploma of Excellence for outstanding merits in the development of the ICT industry in Romania. Nicoleta Macovei has been the CEO of the most important IT integrator from the region since 2018, a company that has significantly contributed to the digitalization process of the public and private sector in Romania.   S&T Romania GM mentioned five major digitization projects that should be urgently started - digitization of education and research processes; digitization in health system; digitization of tax collection, digitization of life events and digitization of activity management in transport, together with digital identity and the acceleration of the e-book project.   ”When you win a project, you have to see it through to the end and make sure it becomes ”adopted” by the customer.
