Cluj: “Avram Iancu” International Airport reached one million passengers in 2021

“Avram Iancu” International Airport in Cluj Napoca reached one million passengers in 2021 and festively marked the event last week.   The airport reached 1,000,000 passengers in recorded in a year in 2010 and since then, except for 2012 and 2020, each year had that possibility to mark success and excellence of airport operations together with passengers and partners.   “Passenger no. 1,000,000 in 2021 was transported by air operator Animawings on the flight from Zakynthos (Greece) to Cluj Napoca”the company press release reads. “The symbol event of Cluj International Airport is also celebrated this year for the 10th time in its history. The threshold of 1,000,000 passengers recorded in this unprecedented crisis period in the national and international aviation is a performance which confirms the confidence that in the shortest time possible we will exceed again the barrier of 2 million passengers annually,” said David Ciceo, the general manager of “Avram Iancu” International Airport.
