Coalition agreement/ Governing rotation - PNL PM until April 2027, PSD PM until December 2028

 The political agreement signed on Monday morning by the leaders of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), the National Liberal Party (PNL), the Save Romania Union (USR), the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) and the group of national minorities includes a rotating prime ministership, with the position of prime minister to be held by the Liberals (PNL) between June 2025 and April 2027, after which it will be assumed by the Social Democrats (PSD) for the period April 2027 - December 2028.'The signatory political parties agree to implement a rotation mechanism regarding the position of prime minister. For the period June 2025 - April 2027, the coalition-supported candidate for the office of prime minister shall be designated by the PNL. For the period April 2027 - December 2028, the coalition-supported candidate for prime minister shall be designated by PSD,' ? provides Article 4 of the Political Agreement.According to the document (Article 5), the structure of the Government includes: a Prime Minister, 16 ministries, distributed as follows: 6 ministries to PSD, 4 ministries to PNL, 4 ministries to USR, 2 ministries to UDMR. The Government will also include: 3 Deputy Prime Ministers without portfolio: one each for PSD and UDMR, and one independent; 2 Deputy Prime Ministers with portfolio: one from PNL, and one from USR.
