Concerts, exhibitions, films and shows at Mogosoaia Classic Fest, on May 28 and 29

Concerts, exhibitions, films and shows will take place at the 11th edition of Mogosoaia Classic Fest, held on May 28 and 29 at Mogosoaia Palace, under the title “World Cultures”, the organizers' press release shows on Thursday.   Eight countries will be discovered in this festival through music, literature, fine arts, dancing, images and traditions- Armenia, Spain, Hungary, Lithuania, Peru, Mexico, China and Romania. Visitors will participate in concerts, fine arts exhibitions, photography, traditional objects, film presentations, dancing, handmade workshops for children, conferences, book presentations.   The first day of the event will start at 10.00 o'clock with events suggested by the Armenians' Union of Romania: documentaries about Armenia and the movie “When death is late ( Harutiun Fringhian's story)”, directed by Armine Vosganian, the show “Armenian Interferences, the fine arts exhibition “Ararat Echoes” with Mihaela Vosganian, Ervant Nicogosian exhibition, with Gilda Mologhianu's participation, the show “” Ararat Echoes”by Cosmin Rafael Balean , Ana Maria Stanoia – soprano and Cristina Struta – piano, and the “Coffee Story”with Gheorghe Florescu.   Lithuania, through its Bucharest Embassy will present the exhibition “Unseen Lithuania, 21st century” by Marius Jovaisa, and books translated into Romania. Events presented by Hungary through “Franz Liszt” Hungarian Cultural Institute will be inaugurated. A piano recital will include works by Liszt and several films about Hungarian artists and films about Hungary.   Cultural events proposed by Peru Embassy will take place on May 29: the photo exhibition “Qhapaq Nan”, the presentation of documentary movies about Peru and a concert by the Peruvian artist Itto Meza, with traditional music.   Events of Confucius Institute from Bucharest University will begin at 11.30: traditional Chinese costumes, exhibition of traditional Chinese instruments and art, documentary movies about China, a traditional dance show, coordinated by Li Zengtaozi, and a recital by singer Fang Shuang. Demonstrations of Chinese calligraphy and a workshop of opera masl painting Beijing style will be organized.   As of 1.00 p.m. the Mexican Embassy will offer a Mexican art exhibition, presentation of Mexican books translated into Romanian and documentaries about Mexico. At 2.00 p.m Spain will present cultural suggestions offered by Cervantes Institute: the exhibition “Portraits of Spanish and Hispanic American writers” by Mario Muchnik, a book presentation of Spanish authors translated into Romanian and a Spanish music concert by Katharsis Duo.   Access to festival events will be with museum access tickets.   The 11th edition of Mogosoaia ClasicFest is organized by Brancoveanu Palaces Cultural Center and Pro Valores Association in partnership with Bucharest City Hall.
