Conferință de presă susținută de prim-ministrul Marcel Ciolacu și ministrul Transporturilor, Sorin Grindeanu, după vizita de lucru la obiectivul de investiții rutiere Drum Expres Craiova-Pitești, tronsonul III

Marcel Ciolacu: Good morning! I am very glad that both I and Mr. President of the Senate are together today, here, to show how important political stability is. Naturally, we came accompanied by the representatives of the local authorities from the two counties, Olt and Dolj, because every kilometer of large infrastructure contributes to the development of the regions. If last week I was with Mr. Grindeanu on the Transilvania Motorway and, at the moment, it is possible to drive on the highway from Targu Mureș to Cluj, now I understand that next week this section, the second section, more than half of the 121 kilometers from Craiova to Pitesti, will be completed, then follows the Bucharest beltway and thus the junction with the A0 is made, and you can drive from Craiova directly to Constanța by expressway or highway.
We hope that the pace of work will be maintained on the Transilvania Motorway, where works kicked off about eight months earlier, and here six months earlier - and I congratulate the builder for this - we hope that the same thing will happen with the Moldova Motorway, that connects Moldova area with Bucharest, Craiova and Constanta, and only this way, through a coherent development and plan, we will manage to persuade Romanians to remain in the country. Only this way can we create the infrastructure, as foreign investments to further reach this level of the past two years, of over 4 billion euros, direct investments. I am firmly convinced that Olguta will finalize soon the airport from Craiova and together with the County Council and Marius Oprescu, the industrial parks will also be finalized, as major investments will arrive in the region, finally in the south of the country as well, not only in Transylvania and I repeat we should continue in Moldova, with these investments. It is fair to thank all those involved who started this project and those who will continue and complete it, as well as the builders. This is a fortunate case. I cannot thank for instance Mr Cițu for the 9.2 percent deficit he brought to Romania but we can thank Mr Bode and Mr Grindeanu and I am sure that things will head in the right direction. This means political stability and coherent government. We want to improve Romanians outlook with the truth, namely that Romania is heading in the right direction at this moment. If we have the political maturity, I am firmly convinced that we will go at the same pace.
I repeat: Romania needs political stability. Both I and Mr. Nicolae Ciuca lead two very proud parties with a history of arrogance. Me and Mr. Ciuca, both succeeded in leaving aside our pride and I am firmly convinced that the power of our good example will slowly be followed by our colleagues. Thank you.
