Consolidated general budget arrears increased by 4.3% in May 2025

  The arrears of the consolidated general budget increased by 4.33% in May 2025, compared to the previous month, up to 620.7 million lei, from 594.9 million lei in April, according to data published on the website of the Ministry of Finance (MF).   Arrears over 90 days increased by 1.6% to 171.2 million lei, from 168.4 million lei in April 2025, while those over 120 days climbed by 8.4% to 303.4 million lei in May, from 279.7 million lei in April 2025. Arrears over 360 days decreased by 0.48% from MDL 146.8 million to MDL 146.1 million. The arrears of the general consolidated budget increased by 4.33% in May 2025, compared to the previous month, up to 620.7 million lei, from 594.9 million lei in April, according to data published on the website of the Ministry of Finance (MF).   Arrears over 90 days increased by 1.6%, from 168.4 million lei to 171.2 million lei, while those over 120 days rose by 8.4%, from 279.7 million lei in April 2025 to 303.4 million lei in May. Arrears over 360 days registered a decrease of 0.48%, from 146.8 million lei to 146.1 million lei.   According to the quoted source, as regards the local budgets, the arrears increased by 5.07%, of 561.5 million lei (April 2025) at 590 million lei (in May 2025).Arrears over 90 days increased by 3.93% to 161 million lei, arrears over 120 days by 8.2% to 293 million lei, and arrears over 360 days increased by 0.1% to 136 million lei.   In the 'State and autonomous budget' chapter, arrears decreased from 33.4 million lei in April 2025 to 30.7 million lei in May 2025 (-8.09%).   Arrears over 90 days decreased by 25.2% to 10.1 million lei. Those over 120 days increased by 18.18% to 10.4 million lei, while those over 360 days decreased to 10.1 million lei (minus 8.19%).Arrears over 90 days increased by 3.93% to RON 161 million, those over 120 days by 8.2% to RON 293 million, and arrears over 360 days increased by 0.1% to RON 136 million.   Under the 'State and autonomous budget' chapter, arrears decreased from RON 33.4 million in April 2025 to RON 30.7 million in May 2025 (-8.09%). Arrears over 90 days decreased by 25.2% to RON 10.1 million. Those over 120 days increased by 18.18% to RON 10.4 million, and those over 360 days decreased to RON 10.1 million (minus 8.19%).
