COP21: Romanian official designated to represent the European Union at the negotiations on the adaptation to the climate changes

Romanian Minister of Environment, Waters and Forestry Cristiana Pasca Palmer was designated to represent the European Union at the negotiations on the adaptation to the climate changes to take place on the sidelines of the 21st Conference of the Parties (COP21) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the ministry said in a release on Tuesday. "It is an honour and also a great responsibility to represent the European Union, in Romania's name, at the negotiations targeting the adaptation to climate change, a topic of enhanced importance at this conference, as all the countries of the world are affected by the increasingly aggressive impact of climate change", the minister said. "Romania will make efforts to become, in the future, a resilient economy to the effects of the climate changes, with low carbon dioxide emissions, a green economy that integrates the climate policies and actions in a coherent manner, in order to ensure intelligent sustainable development", the release said.
